Frequently asked questions

Answers about giving, membership and volunteering with GLIMT.

What does GLIMT do?
GLIMT sends volunteer physicians, dentists, nurses, eye-care and pharmacy teams, and educators on medical missions to underserved communities, and supports health education year-round.
How is my donation used?
Gifts fund medications, dental and vision supplies, school materials and the mission logistics that bring volunteer teams to the field.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. GLIMT is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and gifts are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Zeffy emails your receipt right after you give.
Can I get a receipt later?
Yes. Create a free account with the same email you used on Zeffy; your confirmed gifts appear in Donation History with printable receipts.
Can I set up a monthly gift?
Yes. Choose Monthly on the donation form. You can change or stop it at any time by contacting us.
How do I become a member?
Complete the membership application online (or download it and upload it). After our leadership team approves it, you receive a secure link to pay the $199 annual dues, and your membership activates.
Do I need medical training to volunteer?
No. Missions also need help with logistics, translation, events, outreach and education. Clinical volunteers are asked for their license or credentials.
How do I join a mission trip?
Become a member first. Our team then contacts members about upcoming missions, training and travel coordination.
Can my organization sponsor or partner with GLIMT?
Yes. Use the contact form and choose Sponsorship or Partnership, and we will get back to you.
