Smiles, check-ups and a lot of courage in Cap-Haïtien.
In Cap-Haïtien, on Haiti’s northern coast, our volunteer dental team set up care wherever there was space: inside a community hall with patients waiting on wooden benches, and outdoors under a tin roof with children lined up in the shade.
Folding chairs became dental chairs, headlamps replaced clinic lights, and every child left with a cleaning, an exam and a lesson on how to care for their teeth at home. For many of them, it was the first time a dentist had ever looked at their smile.
Dental care for the whole family.
In Costa Rica and Ecuador our volunteer dental team set up clinics inside community spaces, turning folding chairs and a table of supplies into a working practice.
Patients ranged from infants to grandparents. Families came together, and children who were nervous at the start left smiling for a photo with the team.
