Information we collect

When you create an account, apply for membership, donate, or contact us, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, and any details you include in a message or membership application. We also collect basic technical information that all websites receive, such as your browser type and pages visited, to keep the site secure and working properly.

How we use it

We use your information to manage your account and membership, show you your donation history, respond to your messages, send transactional emails (such as receipts, application updates and password resets), and share news about our missions if you have opted in. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information, and we never share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Donations and payments

Donations and membership dues are processed by Zeffy, our payment platform. Card details are entered on Zeffy's secure checkout and are never stored on our servers. Zeffy shares your name, email and gift amount with us so that we can thank you and record your gift in your account. Zeffy's own privacy policy governs the information you enter on its checkout. Financial documents we publish, such as our IRS determination letter, contain organizational information only.

Membership applications

Application forms you upload are stored in a private area accessible only to GLIMT administrators and are used solely to review your application.

Cookies

We use only the cookies necessary to keep you signed in and to protect the site from abuse. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we protect your information

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored hashed, uploaded application forms are kept in a private folder, and access to member data is limited to administrators. Our website and email are hosted by Hostinger and Google Workspace, which process data on our behalf under their own security commitments. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information with appropriate safeguards and we will notify affected users of any breach as required by law.

Your choices

You can update your profile and notification preferences at any time from your account. To access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to withdraw consent to mission updates, email us and we will respond within 30 days. We keep account and donation records for as long as your account is active and as needed to meet our legal and tax obligations.

Children

Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Our site links to sponsors, partners and Zeffy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites and encourage you to read their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be announced on this page.
